I made a potato gun :) I followed the instructions on make.
Instead of a stun gun (hard to find), I used the igntition from a BBQ lighter, grounding the electronics through my hand. This gun shoots far - over 200 yards. If you shoot it straight up in the air, it's a solid 10 seconds before it hits the ground :)

Cyclecomputer Setup Complaint
So, the bike store set up my cyclecomputer, but they didn't set up the 'computer' part.
The computer has my tire circumference set at 205cm, when in fact it is 216cm.
A little bit of quick math...
444.5km=44,450,000cm
44,450,000cm/205cm=216829revs
216829*216cm=46835064cm
46835064cm=468.4km
So, while my computer says I've biked 444.5km, I've actually biked 468.4km!
I've been biking around for more than a month, with incorrect data!!! That kind of thing drives me nuts! If you're going to set something up, don't do a half-assed job, do it right.

Good times!
Well, I finally scraped together enough dough to get my new bike. It's a Trek Soho I picked up at Cyclesmith.
Here it is by Halifax Harbour. More pics on flickr.

4Pac and the Computer Nerd
We all went to prep school together. This photo was taken at John's brother Dimo's engagement party held on Boxing day.
